Responsibilities
- Perform precision assembly of components and sub-assemblies according to engineering drawings, technical specifications, and work instructions.
- Ensure assembled parts meet required quality, tolerance, and dimensional standards and final testing.
- Use and maintain precision measuring tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, and calibration equipment.
- Follow established assembly procedures, safety guidelines, and quality standards during all operations.
- Identify and report defects, non-conformities, or process issues to assembly leads.
- Maintain accurate production records, assembly documentation, and inspection reports.
- Support process improvement and industrialization activities to enhance assembly efficiency and automated solutions.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of tools, equipment, and materials in lean practice.
- Analyse historical data and consumption trends to forecast future inventory requirements.
- Implement efficient stock management systems and processes to minimize wastage and improve efficiency.
- Prepare regular inventory reports to track and identify high consumption areas and gaps.
- Work collaboratively with production, quality, and engineering teams to meet project timelines and production targets.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement best practices to enhance inventory management efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in line with workplace safety and operational standards.
- Provide reactive support to resolve Instrument inventory, stock, and technical problems.
- Ensure all assembly practices meet required safety standards and packing requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation of assembly activities, inspections, and production records.
- Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department.
Basic Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in:
- Assembly work
- Manufacturing
- Diploma or technical training in mechanical or a related field
- Experience in mechanical or product assembly
