Responsibilities:
- Support and manage ARC projects for financial services clients, including:
- IFRS 9, IFRS 15, IFRS 16, IFRS 17 implementations and advisory
- Financial instruments accounting (valuation, classification, impairment)
- Preparation and review of financial statements under IFRS
- Finance transformation and process optimization
- Conduct technical accounting research and prepare client deliverables, including technical memos and position papers.
- Work closely with financial services clients to assess their accounting and financial reporting processes and provide tailored solutions.
- Support Managers and Partners in project planning, execution, and client management.
- Supervise and coach junior team members, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Assist in business development efforts, proposals, and client presentations.
Requirements
The Individual
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA) is required.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in accounting advisory or audit, with a minimum of 2–3 years working with financial services clients (banks, insurers, investment firms).
- Strong understanding of IFRS, especially standards relevant to financial instruments and insurance contracts.
- Experience in the UAE or wider GCC financial services market is a strong advantage.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of data analytics tools is a plus.
- Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
