The Assistant Relationship Manager (ARM) is a vital role responsible for delivering high-quality business services to SME customers. This position involves completing operational due diligence (ODD), managing transaction limits (TL) expiry and non-sufficient funds (NSF) reports, processing client requests, and ensuring timely updates. The ARM supports Relationship Managers (RMs) in driving foreign exchange (FX) and current account, savings account (CASA) growth while maintaining strong client relationships and portfolio health. Collaboration with internal stakeholders such as Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Account Services Unit (ASU), Business Risk, Treasury, and other relevant departments is essential for ensuring smooth service delivery and compliance with bank policies.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Provide services related to Liabilities, FX, Payment and Cash Management (PCM), and Trade products to meet team sales targets.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of product applications and obtain all required documentation to avoid rework.
  • Verify that all customer applications comply with the company policy guidelines.
  • Proactively engage with existing customers and coordinate with internal teams for seamless service fulfillment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, RMs, and internal staff.
  • Attend weekly and monthly team meetings to review performance and share best practices.
  • Maintain consistently high standards of customer service.
  • Achieve service targets for SME customers as per ARM role.
  • Assist customers with Know Your Customer (KYC) completion and ongoing due diligence.

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Graduate, preferably in a commercially oriented discipline, or Diploma in business/finance-related subjects.
  • 3 to 5 years experience as Business Banking Support or Assistant Relationship Manager.
