What You'll Be Doing:
- Perform well-defined field engineering assignments primarily involving constructability reviews and the observation of work in progress.
- Maintain first-level quality assurance to confirm that the installation of all work within your discipline adheres to plans, specifications, and industry standards.
- Assist construction personnel with general technical details.
- Provide resolutions for technical engineering problems within the assigned discipline and coordinate the application of solutions.
- Establish and maintain liaison with the discipline design engineering staff.
- Monitor discipline construction schedules and assist in progress appraisal.
- Provide schedule and progress appraisal data to the Resident Engineer.
- Monitor material procurement and deliveries to ensure timeliness in support of construction activities and schedule within the assigned discipline.
- Ensure tests and inspections are performed, witnessed, and documented according to approved procedures.
- Ensure personnel of the assigned group engage in safe work practices compliant with site-specific safety procedures and industry standards.
- Maintain a daily log for a permanent record of project construction, as well as discipline data for the final project turnover and report.
- Review Contractor’s submissions.
- Supervise site inspection staff.
- Prepare progress reports.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of overall experience in infrastructure/stormwater projects in Abu Dhabi.
- Proven track record in supervising all aspects of road and general infrastructure projects.
- Proficient in computer applications for data access, record management, report generation, and relevant engineering/construction software.
- Strong command of English, both written and spoken, with excellent technical writing and communication skills.
- Solid understanding of engineering and construction processes, as well as industry standards and best practices.

- Good knowledge about contractual relationships.
- Fully computer literate with the ability to utilize technology to access data, maintain records, and generate reports.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with excellent capabilities in written technical skills and oral communication.
- Capable of keeping necessary records and as-built records, overseeing the handover of utility works to respective service authorities, and assisting the contractor in obtaining necessary approvals.
