The Assistant Security Manager supports in overseeing all aspects of safety and security within the hotel premises. This role ensures that guests, team members, and hotel property are protected through effective security procedures, team supervision, and emergency preparedness.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the daily operations of the Security Department.
- Supervise and guide the security team to maintain high levels of alertness and professionalism.
- Ensure all security systems, equipment, and procedures are functioning effectively and are regularly maintained.
- Monitor surveillance systems (CCTV), access controls, fire safety systems, and patrol activities.
- Conduct regular inspections of the hotel to identify potential security risks and report findings.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to any incidents, emergencies, or complaints, and follow up with proper documentation.
- Liaise with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
- Assist in training new and existing security team members on safety protocols, fire drills, and emergency response procedures.
- Maintain proper incident logs, reports, and records in line with hotel policies.
- Support the enforcement of hotel policies, including access control, parking regulations, and guest safety standards.
- Conduct investigations related to theft, disturbances, or any unusual activities.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of professionalism at all times.
Desired Skills & Expertise
- Minimum 3 years of security experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Diploma or degree in Security Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of security operations, emergency procedures, and fire safety protocols.
- Familiarity with CCTV, access control systems, and emergency response tools.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Physically fit with the ability to work on shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Certification in First Aid, CPR, and Fire Safety is an advantage.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle stressful situations professionally.
