About the Role
We are looking for an accomplished Assistant Vice President to join our Client Accounting team as part of our financial services business in Grand Cayman. The Cayman Islands is home to our global headquarters and where we first established operations in the 1960s. Since then we have grown to become one of the largest employers in Cayman, where colleagues from all over the world collaborate to deliver best-in-class solutions to clients worldwide.
Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Providing accounting, financial reporting and administration services to a variety of financial services clients, including structured finance vehicles, trusts, investment funds, and insurance entities.

What You Bring
In addition to a commitment to delivering superior candidate and stakeholder experiences, the successful candidate(s) will have:

  • A university degree, preferably in economics, accounting, finance, or business administration.
  • An internationally recognised accounting designation (e.g. CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent) and a minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience with a top-tier accounting and audit firm, during which time you have provided services primarily in the financial services industry.
  • A solid understanding of US GAAP and IFRS.
  • Experience in a role primarily providing accounting and/or financial statement compilation services is preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of CaseWare and experience with an investment bank, trust services company, insurance manager, investment manager, or fund administrator will be an advantage.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with fund administrators, directors, trustees, senior bankers, investment managers, and lawyers.
  • The ability to work independently to produce a large volume of financial statements within a limited time frame is essential.
  • Flexibility to work overtime to meet deadlines as required.
