Responsibilities
- Take the target apart: Assume ownership from the outset of your career by understanding, challenging, and decomposing given targets.
- Build it before you brief it: Utilize design and engineering resources effectively by prototyping ideas with AI, producing working models instead of theoretical proposals.
- Get your own data: Independently access data sources, analyze them, and build upon your findings without relying on the analytics team.
- Carry it all the way to impact: Focus on creating significant business impacts in the short or long term, understanding systems, making necessary changes, and measuring outcomes to avoid developing unnecessary features.
- Ship into five markets, not one: Understand that products will behave differently across various markets (e.g., Dubai, Cairo, Riyadh), and leverage data to discover these nuances instead of relying solely on complaints.
- Communicate clearly and go to market in time: Present information concisely, starting with numerical insights, clearly stated hypotheses, and outcomes that would invalidate your proposition.
What We Expect From You
- Demonstrable experience: Present something you’ve built that has been used by others (e.g., a tool, marketplace, startup). We value what you've learned from failures as much as successes.
- Proficient in AI: Regularly utilize AI technologies in your work and be comfortable sharing examples of how you've implemented coding agents.
- Strong analytical skills: Capable of performing arithmetic mentally and utilizing statistics for deeper analysis. Understand key metrics such as funnel math and unit economics.
- End-to-end instinct: Drive to grasp the entire system and its dynamics.
- Location flexibility: Must either be based in Dubai or be genuinely prepared to relocate.
Nice to Have
- Basic coding knowledge or familiarity with production processes and logic.
- Design fluency, enabling you to create screens independently.
- A degree in a STEM field.
How We’ll Assess You
- Build Submission: Send a link and brief description of a project you completed, including its purpose, users, and lessons learned.
- Interview: A 45-minute session to dissect a real challenge faced by the company, evaluating your analytical and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Homework Assignment: A task involving messy, real-world data requiring you to bring back a functional prototype and a corresponding summary. Use of AI is expected, so explain your approach.
- Final Conversation: An interview with a senior leader to assess your ability to think beyond the immediate scope of your role.
