Key Responsibilities
Role-specific
- Advising on a range of transactions across multiple sectors, with an increased focus on transactional work in the Energy and Infrastructure sectors, particularly in digital infrastructure.
- Being involved in M&A, joint ventures, investments (including venture capital transactions and pre-IPO capital raisings), and reorganisations.
- Leading on certain aspects of transactions while assisting and supervising associates, the firm’s Digital Legal Delivery team, and trainees.
- Building relationships with clients, identifying and acting on opportunities.
- Planning, prioritising, and delegating work tasks as appropriate, while keeping supervising team members updated on progress.
- Providing excellent client service through prompt responses and progress updates.
- Supporting the firm and others by building effective relationships in and across offices, upholding the firm’s values, and assisting with the preparation of legal precedents, articles, marketing documents, and presentations.
- Complying with risk requirements, firm policies, and all relevant professional responsibilities and legislation.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- Qualified/admitted legal practitioner in a common law jurisdiction; UAE experience preferred.
- Excellent academic qualifications.
- 2 - 3 years' PQE, although candidates with more or less experience are encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrable experience in supporting/leading on corporate M&A and joint venture matters.
- Experience in the Energy and Infrastructure sectors is desirable.
- Experience acting on complex cross-border M&A transactions.
- Strong foundational legal skills, including due diligence, drafting, writing, negotiation, and project management.
- Familiarity with law firm profitability and key drivers for financial efficiency.
- Competence in using AI in legal practice.
- Ability and drive to work on bespoke, large-scale, and complicated transactions.
- A strong interest in the energy, private capital, and infrastructure sectors.
