Key Responsibilities
- Advise on a range of transactions across multiple sectors, with a focus on transactional work in the Energy and Infrastructure sectors.
- Engage in M&A, joint ventures, investments (including venture capital transactions and pre-IPO capital raisings), and reorganisations.
- Lead certain aspects of transactions, assisting and supervising associates, the firm's Digital Legal Delivery team, and trainees.
- Build relationships with clients, identifying and acting on opportunities.
- Plan, prioritize, and delegate work tasks appropriately; update supervising team members on progress.
- Provide excellent client service with prompt responses and progress updates.
- Uphold the firm’s values and build effective relationships across offices; assist in the preparation of legal precedents, articles, marketing documents, and presentations.
- Comply with risk requirements, firm policies, and all relevant professional responsibilities and legislation.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- Qualified/admitted legal practitioner in a common law jurisdiction (UAE experience preferred).
- Excellent academic record.
- 2 - 3 years' PQE preferred, although candidates with varying levels of experience will be considered.
- Demonstrable experience in supporting or leading corporate M&A and joint venture matters.
- Desirable experience in Energy and Infrastructure sectors, particularly with complex cross-border M&A.
- Strong legal skills in due diligence, drafting, writing, negotiation, and project management.
- Competently uses AI tools.
- Ability and drive to work on bespoke, high-value transactions.
- Strong interest in energy, private capital, and infrastructure sectors.
