As an Associate Data Engineer, you will engage in exciting projects covering the end-to-end data lifecycle, including raw data integrations, advanced data modeling, and data visualization. In this role, you will learn to build and work with both batch and real-time data processing pipelines within a modern cloud-based environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform raw data integrations with primary and third-party systems.
- Develop data warehouse modeling for operational and application data layers.
- Handle development in the Amazon Redshift cluster.
- Undertake SQL development as part of an agile team workflow.
- Design and implement ETL in Matillion ETL.
- Build real-time data pipelines and applications using AWS services such as Lambda and Kinesis.
- Create data products that enable data-driven features.
- Ensure data quality, system stability, and security.
- Maintain coding standards in SQL, Python, and ETL design.
- Build data dashboards and advanced visualizations focused on user experience.
- Collaborate with various departments on data products.
- Contribute positively to team culture and project ownership.
Requirements:
- Strong academic background in technical disciplines such as computer science, engineering, mathematics, or physics.
- 2+ years of experience with customer-centric data at scale, preferably in e-commerce.
- 1+ years of experience in programming languages, especially Python and SQL.
- Familiarity with big data warehouse concepts, ETL, and data visualization.
- Knowledge of relational and dimensional data models.
- Proficiency in SQL across various cloud data warehousing technologies (e.g., Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery).
- Strong communication skills for conveying insights to a non-technical audience.
- Self-motivated, with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and curiosity for continuous learning.
