Associate Data Science (Qatarization)

The Associate, Data Science will support data science initiatives across the bank. This role entails building and deploying machine learning models, conducting exploratory data analysis, and generating data-driven insights to solve business problems. The associate will collaborate with various business units to understand their requirements and support model development in line with strategic goals.

Main Responsibilities:

• Shareholder & Financial:

  • Support the development and tracking of KPIs.
  • Assist in delivering data analytics solutions for business efficiency.
  • Participate in the execution of the company's Data & Analytics strategy.

• Customer (Internal & External):

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to interpret business needs into data problems.
  • Generate insightful reports or dashboards for business users.
  • Support model testing and deployment while ensuring timely delivery.

• Internal (Processes, Products, Regulatory):

  • Assist in developing machine learning and statistical models.
  • Prepare and clean datasets for analysis.
  • Document methodologies and outcomes for reproducibility.

• Learning & Knowledge:

  • Stay updated on trends in machine learning and analytics tools.
  • Seek mentorship and feedback for continuous improvement.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with machine learning techniques and data wrangling.
• High-level knowledge of data science tools such as Python, R, and Jupyter notebooks is desirable.
