Associate Engineer, Civil

About the Role
The Associate Engineer, Civil is responsible for the study, design, specification, and services related to various transportation systems including roads, railways, airports, and seaports. This role encompasses a wide array of civil engineering works such as bridges, infrastructure, drainage, underground utilities, hydrology/hydraulics, water treatment and distribution, wastewater collection and treatment, water resources, raw water supply, tunnels, and geotechnical design.

Responsibilities

• Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria under direct supervision.
• Utilize judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications to engineering processes.
• Assist in the design of larger and more complex assignments, leveraging additional experience in one functional area.
• Conduct investigations and surveys related to civil engineering projects with relatively few complex features for which there are precedents.
• Ensure that tasks are performed correctly to impact cost containment, efficiency, profitability, or operations positively.

Requirements

• Typically requires an undergraduate degree in Engineering.
• Experience in civil engineering projects is beneficial, developing expertise in areas of responsibility over time.
