Associate - Financial Planning and Analysis

About the Role:
The purpose of the role is to assist in the preparation and analysis of management reports for the bank and its subsidiaries. This position involves monthly reconciliation, reporting, and supporting the budgeting process to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Map and manually upload General Ledgers (GLs) at the customer level into the Business Objects (BO) database on a monthly basis.
• Reconcile GLs and BO on a monthly basis.
• Update international mapping as needed.
• Assist in circulating monthly business unit and related expense reports, highlighting variances to budget.
• Prepare and distribute the following reports on a timely basis:
  • Customer Profitability.
  • Headcount and Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) reports.
  • Expense reviews.
  • Market Premium.
  • ALOC reports.
• Support monthly updates and uploads of GAAP adjustments in OFSAA.
• Assist in the annual budgeting process and reforecast exercise for the group, particularly for Other Operating Expenses (OOE), premises, headcount, and FTE compilation.
• Track expense budgets at the cost center and GL level to ensure that expenditures align with the budget, avoiding overruns.
• Prepare monthly expense summaries and presentations for the Group Chief Financial Officer (GCFO) for various groups, including variance explanations.
• Perform other duties as specified by the line manager.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Knowledge of bank financials and product profitability is an advantage.
• Proficiency in computer skills including MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and Business Objects.
• Strong leadership and influencing skills.
• Ability to work effectively as a team player.
• Good judgment in seeking assistance when needed and making decisions independently.
