Daily responsibilities include:
- Providing expert technical support across the full technical stack of Canonical, from cloud to desktop to IoT.
- Taking ownership of cases via telephone, email, and web, managing from problem qualification to resolution.
- Contributing to knowledge base articles and ensuring effective communication within the team.
- Participating in a weekend working rotation as needed.
Requirements:
- Exceptional academic track record with an undergraduate degree in a technical field or compelling alternative experience. Preferred majors include Computer Science, MIS, or Electrical Engineering.
- Strong experience with Linux troubleshooting and configuration, and knowledge of networking and virtualization concepts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a customer-facing environment.
- Willingness to travel internationally up to twice a year for company events.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with virtualized environments (e.g., KVM, VMWare) and active contributions to open-source projects.
