We are seeking an Associate Support Engineer to support the technical needs of customers using Ubuntu and other open source products. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with a passion for Linux and a willingness to learn. You will engage in solving technical problems related to cloud environments, desktop/server issues, Linux kernel crashes, and other OS configuration challenges.

Your responsibilities will include delivering exceptional technical support across cloud, desktop, and IoT environments. You will manage support cases from qualification to resolution and will be responsible for maintaining high customer satisfaction per our Service Level Agreement (SLA). Additional duties involve contributing knowledge base articles, drafting technical communications, prioritizing tasks, and participating in a weekend working rotation.

Language Requirements:
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Exceptional academic record and an undergraduate degree in a technical subject (or an alternative compelling path).
  • Confidence in sharing ideas and exchanging feedback.
  • Experience with Linux troubleshooting and familiarity with Linux server administration.
  • Basic programming knowledge (e.g., Bash, Perl, Ruby, JavaScript, C/C++, Go).
  • Understanding of networking and virtualization/cloud computing concepts.
  • A result-oriented attitude, with a personal drive to meet commitments.
  • Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with virtualized environments (KVM, Virtual Box, VMWare).
  • Contribution to open-source projects or forums.
