As an Associate Linux Support Engineer, you will solve interesting technical problems, from triaging complex cloud environments to dealing with Linux kernel crashes and OS configuration issues. You will deliver an outstanding technical support experience across cloud, desktop, and IoT, managing your cases from problem qualification to full resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for employees from your remote home office.
  • Take ownership of new cases via telephone, email, and web.
  • Act as an internal customer advocate, ensuring timely updates.
  • Maintain support cases according to our Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  • Contribute to the knowledge base and draft technical notices.
  • Prioritize work to accomplish critical tasks first.
  • Maintain regular communication with the team and suggest opportunities for improved service.
  • Participate in regular weekend working rotation.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional academic track record and preferably an undergraduate degree in a technical subject (e.g., Computer Science, MIS, Electrical Engineering).
  • Confidence in sharing ideas and providing feedback.
  • Experience with Linux troubleshooting and server administration.
  • Basic knowledge or hands-on experience in programming (bash, Perl, Ruby, etc.), networking, and virtualization/cloud computing.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a multi-cultural, multi-national organization.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for company events.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience supporting virtualized environments (e.g., KVM, VMware).
  • Active contributions to open-source projects or forums.
