Position

The role is responsible for ensuring the organization’s IT infrastructure is protected through the effective management and optimization of endpoint security controls, including malware protection (Antivirus) and Data Loss Prevention (DLP). This role involves configuring, monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting endpoint security systems across servers and workstations to safeguard data and mitigate potential security risks. He/she will work cross-functionally with teams, end-users, management, and vendors to resolve incidents, implement security improvements, and ensure adherence to best practices. The role also includes improving security monitoring, providing rapid incident response, and maintaining detailed documentation to support the organization’s security goals.

Responsibilities

  • Support in operating, and enhance endpoint security controls, including malware protection (Antivirus) and Data Loss Prevention (DLP), to ensure robust protection against potential threats.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to endpoint security controls, ensuring minimal disruption and quick recovery.
  • Install, maintain, and regularly monitor endpoint security agents on servers and workstations, ensuring that all systems are fully protected and up to date.
  • Safeguard the organization’s data and IT infrastructure by enforcing appropriate endpoint security controls and ensuring comprehensive protection against security risks.
  • Ensure endpoint security controls are hardened to meet best practices and provide protection against evasion techniques, reinforcing defense mechanisms.
  • Configure endpoint security controls based on industry best practices, ensuring they are optimized for maximum effectiveness.
  • Continuously improve logging, monitoring, and alerting for endpoint security controls, ensuring timely detection and response to potential threats.
  • Engage with end-users, cross-functional teams, and vendors to address security concerns, provide support, and ensure alignment with organizational security goals.
  • Ensure endpoint security incidents are resolved within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs), maintaining operational continuity.
  • Escalate complex issues and consult senior security engineers when necessary to ensure timely and accurate resolution of security incidents.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the line manager related to the nature of the work.
  • Enforce, incorporate, and comply with all necessary controls and related information security (EIS) policies, procedures, practices, training, reporting, personal due diligence, and vigilance, within departmental/unit activities and operations.

Required Skills

  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Recommended 1 to 3 years of equivalent experience in Endpoint Security Engineering.
  • Good understanding of cybersecurity basics, and different operating systems such as Windows and MAC.
  • Good understanding of endpoint security controls such as Antivirus (malware protection) and data loss prevention.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and risk-based security programs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
