Associate Model Validation

This position is responsible for supporting the MRM team with the day-to-day departmental activities which may include enterprise-wide exercises aimed at assessment of model risk, supporting model governance activities, and independent model validation. The role requires robust quantitative skills, independent thinking, and articulate communication skills to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders within Group Risk. The role holder will be required to have a keen eye for detail and a strong appetite to learn and be tested in different areas.

Responsibilities

• Providing proactive support to the MRM team on all required matters.
• Assisting with embedding a culture of improved risk decision making and accountability.
• Supporting with the preparation of materials and analyses for committee reporting and risk oversight purposes.
• Monitoring adherence to the organization’s 'model risk appetite'.
• Liaising with other internal and external stakeholders.
• Enhancing and executing ongoing model monitoring and model validation codes and reports.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills.
• Highly self-motivated and ability to learn rapidly.
• Strong problem solving, analytical (including qualitative analysis), research, and quantitative skills.
• Relevant degree in Quantitative fields such as Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, etc.
