Join the Markets & Securities Services (MSS) division within the company Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) as we seek to enhance our Institutional Sales team. This position plays a vital role in supporting coverage of institutional clients across Prime Services and Equity Derivatives products. Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Manage day-to-day relationships with institutional clients, understanding their investment objectives, portfolio strategies, financing requirements, and product needs.
- Identify and develop business opportunities across Prime Services, Equity Derivatives, Cash Equities, Financing, and Securities Services.
- Support the marketing, pricing, and execution of equity derivative, financing, and prime-services transactions, including options, futures, swaps, and structured solutions.
- Provide clients with relevant market intelligence, trade ideas, research, trader axes, structured solutions, and company content.
- Collaborate with Sales, Trading, Structuring, Research, Securities Services, Operations, Relationship Managers, and other internal teams to deliver effective client solutions.
- Coordinate order handling, trade capture, confirmations, margin, collateral, settlement, and other post-trade requirements.
- Follow approved procedures for client onboarding, suitability checks, order handling, communications, and record keeping while identifying and escalating risks and control issues.
- Support senior colleagues, share client and market intelligence, build strong stakeholder relationships, and contribute to an inclusive, high-performing team culture.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Relevant experience in Prime Services, Equity Derivatives Sales, Equity Sales, Financing Sales, or a related Global Markets role, preferably covering MENAT markets.
- Strong knowledge of cash equities, equity options, futures, swaps, structured products, securities lending, margin financing, and portfolio financing.
- Understanding of transaction execution, trade lifecycle management, clearing, settlement, collateral, and other post-trade processes.
- Experience managing relationships with institutional clients, including hedge funds, asset managers, family offices, banks, and other financial-market participants.
- Strong communication, relationship-management, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to explain market developments and develop client-focused solutions.
- Good understanding of Front Office risk, governance, conduct, and control requirements, supported by strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- A full-time graduation degree of at least three years is essential for obtaining a UAE visa/work permit. For degrees obtained outside the UAE, valid attestations and equivalency are also mandatory.
- Under the New Labour Law, only fixed-term contracts shall be available to all employees of the company UAE (except DIFC and ADGM employees) – hence in line with the term of work permit, a 4-year contract would be issued.
