In this role, you will work closely with Senior Producers, Producers, and Photojournalists across various creative areas within the features department. Your responsibilities will include the production and development of stories from conception to delivery. This entails researching, pitching, planning, and producing compelling content for television, digital, and social platforms. You will also support field and studio shoots, manage logistics, and ensure that content adheres to the highest editorial standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research, develop, and pitch original story ideas.
- Support producers and senior producers in planning shoots and interviews from pre-production to delivery.
- Co-ordinate filming logistics including call sheets, schedules, travel, permits, etc.
- Write and assist with scripts, producing high-quality content while managing multiple projects.
- Source archive materials, fact-check, and ensure editorial accuracy throughout production.
- Contribute ideas to improve workflows and team output.
- Organize media and archive materials as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience in production, scripting, journalism, digital media, or television content creation.
- Strong editorial judgment and a passion for storytelling.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Understanding of digital and social storytelling trends.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with filming equipment.
- Experience in field producing.
- Experience working in an international newsroom.
- Knowledge of Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and Audition.
Work Conditions:
- Full-time position located on-site in Abu Dhabi.
