Associate Project Manager

The opportunity involves leading the execution of medium size to large and moderately complex GIS projects, ensuring compliance with Hitachi Energy policy, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety, environment requirements, financial targets, and schedule commitments.

How You’ll Make An Impact:

• Execute projects as per contract scope, schedule, and contractual conditions.
• Review contracts received from sales to understand terms and conditions including risk awareness related to margin and performance.
• Plan, monitor, and control project activities proactively, including execution planning and project handover.
• Develop and freeze project schedules with stakeholders.
• Prepare and maintain project master document lists.
• Execute process activities in SAP while maintaining documentation per ISO and internal requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering and customers for timely approvals of drawings and resolutions of project-related queries.
• Serve as the single point of contact and escalation for customers regarding project issues.
• Monitor and document change requests and manage related approvals.
• Proactively evaluate and identify project risks, implementing mitigating actions and preparing specific management plans.
• Coordinate factory acceptance tests and ensure timely dispatch and invoicing.
• Report project status to internal stakeholders while ensuring compliance with regulations and guidelines.

Your Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is preferred.
• 2 - 7 years of experience in project execution of GIS projects, substation projects, or related areas.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Capability to work under pressure to meet project deadlines.
• Knowledge of SAP or another ERP system.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
