As an Associate Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance applications for iOS and/or Android devices. Your contributions will play a significant role in driving innovative solutions that facilitate business transformation.

Location: Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mobile & Tablet App Development:

    • Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications for iOS and/or Android platforms.
    • Build responsive user interfaces optimized for multiple devices, including tablets.
    • Implement reusable components and scalable architectures.
    • Integrate REST APIs, SDKs, and third-party libraries with backend systems.
  • Quality, Testing & Performance:

    • Conduct unit, integration, and UI testing to ensure application stability and reliability.
    • Optimize performance, memory usage, and responsiveness across devices.
    • Identify and resolve bugs, crashes, and UI inconsistencies.
  • Collaboration & Delivery:

    • Work closely with UX/UI designers to deliver pixel-perfect interfaces.
    • Collaborate with backend, QA, and product teams to meet project timelines.
    • Participate in Agile ceremonies, estimations, and sprint planning.
  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Stay current with the latest mobile technologies, frameworks, and OS guidelines.
    • Recommend improvements in product design, user experience, and development processes.
    • Apply best practices in security, accessibility, and mobile standards.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience with native mobile development (Android: Java/Kotlin, iOS: Swift/Objective-C) or cross-platform frameworks (Flutter, React Native).
  • Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX design principles.
  • Hands-on experience with REST APIs, JSON, and third-party integrations.
  • Familiarity with mobile architectures (MVVM, MVP, Clean Architecture).
  • Knowledge of version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab).

Professional Experience:

  • Experience in mobile or tablet app development and publishing apps to Google Play Store or Apple App Store (preferred).
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on user experience.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with push notifications, deep linking, and device hardware integration (camera, sensors, GPS).
  • Exposure to CI/CD tools for mobile apps (Fastlane, Bitrise, CodeMagic).
  • Knowledge of security best practices for mobile applications.
  • Experience with tablet-specific UI optimizations and multi-window features.
  • Cloud integration experience (Firebase, AWS Amplify, Azure Mobile Apps).
