About the Role
The Associate Systems Analyst collaborates closely with the Senior Systems Analyst and Systems Development Manager to identify and define the needs of end users for development projects or system enhancements that are of low to medium complexity. This role directly supports all applications and business processes, focusing on documenting functional and system-related requirements and engaging in cost-benefit analyses. Additionally, the Associate Systems Analyst performs systems analysis and design functions and is actively involved in system testing while also providing supplemental user training.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responds to production problems and technical issues in a timely manner
- Meets with developers to understand the technical aspects of proposed solutions
- Documents functional and systems requirements
- Performs systems analysis and design activities
- Facilitates meetings with all interested parties to identify optimal solutions (users, vendors, etc.)
- Assists senior systems analysts with the review of vendor-related and third-party provided solutions
- Informs users of all system-related issues that may impact other operational areas
- Supports system testing activities throughout all stages of the project life cycle
- Develops a detailed understanding of one or more key systems within the application portfolio
- Assists in the design, implementation, and support of interfaces and points of integration to other application environments
- Acts as the focal point for day-to-day operational questions generated by users, including function usage and program option purposes
- Adheres to defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required
- Performs other reasonable duties as assigned by management
- Due to the company's 24/7 operations, it may be necessary to adjust shifts as business demands dictate.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2-3 years of experience in an information systems organization and/or equivalent work experience recommended
- Knowledge of the business analysis process
- Familiarity with project tracking tools/skills or equivalent work experience preferred
- Knowledge of application support, system network architecture, and troubleshooting
