Responsibilities
In this role, your key responsibilities will include:
- Proactively managing a portfolio of clients, including day-to-day client liaison and technical issues management.
- Engaging in business development activities to identify and research opportunities with new and existing clients while building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Developing strategies to address complex technical challenges and enhancing your team's technical expertise.
- Assisting in managing and delivering large projects, ensuring compliance with key deadlines.
- Designing the audit strategy and managing audit execution in alignment with the engagement leader's guidance. This includes advising clients on financial reporting and regulatory developments while staying updated on regulatory changes through seminars.
- Managing client relations with senior management, including delivering presentations to boards of directors and audit committees.
- Ensuring compliance with risk, quality, and independence matters.
- Staying informed on local and national business and economic issues.
- Coaching, mentoring, and supporting the development of team members, while prioritizing their well-being.
- Encouraging involvement in digital initiatives and the use of audit transformation technologies to comply with our firm's vision and enhance audit robustness.
- Participating in the recruitment process by interviewing and selecting candidates according to hiring standards.
What You’ll Bring
We seek individuals who are ambitious and eager to leverage opportunities for growth and development. Ideally, you will have:
- A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 6-8 years of professional experience in external financial audit, preferably with one of the Big Four firms.
- Recognized professional qualifications such as ACCA, CA, ACA, or CPA.
- Experience auditing banking clients is a plus.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills that foster teamwork.
- Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English (oral and written) is advantageous.
- Familiarity with International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) and profound knowledge of IFRS applicable to Financial Services, including IFRS9 and IFRS17, as well as financial services regulations.
- Strong project management skills, with experience managing an audit from planning to completion.
- Confidence in encouraging high-quality testing and documentation.
- Ability to build and nurture positive relationships across all levels internally and externally.
- A drive for innovative thinking and the capability to support others through change and uncertainty.
- Experience fostering a collaborative team environment and addressing team challenges promptly.
- A commitment to the Audit profession and a dedication to self-development in an agile and innovative digital landscape.
- An appreciation for diversity and the ability to promote inclusive practices within teams.
- Knowledge of audit technologies and experience using data analytics tools is a plus.
