How You’ll Contribute
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Using your analytical skills to analyze clients' financial statements and ensure adherence to financial regulations.
- Examining financial and accounting records, documents, and tangible items such as inventory and equipment.
- Asking a range of questions, both formal and informal, to various individuals within client organizations.
- Testing internal controls and processes of client organizations.
- Building trust and credibility by understanding client expectations and delivering high-quality services.
- Researching key facts related to the client’s industry information prior to engagement inception.
- Maintaining timely communication with management regarding engagement progress, including risks and variances from the plan.
- Taking full ownership of external file completion.
- Analyzing engagement economics and explaining any variances from budgets.
- Reviewing work by associates and providing coaching and constructive feedback for professional development.
- Ensuring compliance with risk, quality, and independence standards.
- Participating in business development activities to identify opportunities with new and existing clients.
- Engaging effectively with diverse teams throughout the audit process and monitoring task completion to meet timelines.
- Involvement in digital initiatives and upskilling that align with team business needs.
- Performing other necessary procedures to support the issuance of assurance deliverables.
What You’ll Bring
You are an ambitious individual who takes advantage of growth and development opportunities. Additionally, you possess the following qualifications:
- A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Completion or pursuit of a professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CA, ACA, CPA preferred).
- Progressive experience at the Senior Associate level working with external audit clients in a Big 4 professional services firm.
- Experience auditing a diverse range of industries.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for thriving in a team environment.
- Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English (oral and written) is an advantage.
- Strong business development and client relationship skills.
- Willingness to challenge norms and foster a cohesive, effective team environment.
- Excellent project management capabilities.
- Knowledge of audit technologies and experience using data analytics tools is a plus.
- Commitment to valuing differences and collaborating with diverse perspectives.
- Strong technical skills regarding applicable accounting reporting and auditing standards, with a record of exceptional performance.
- Experience in designing engagement procedures based on risk and materiality.
- Previous experience coaching and leading engagement teams.
- Strong technical knowledge and ability to research issues, present alternatives, and draw conclusions for clients and management.
