Key responsibilities include:
- Building, training, and evaluating machine learning models for services such as food and grocery delivery and payments.
- Working with real-world data to derive features, signals, and insights.
- Collaborating with operations, engineers, product managers, and analysts to address challenges related to OCR-based partner onboarding, dynamic pricing, route optimization, churn prediction, and fraud detection.
- Running experiments, tracking model performance, and implementing models into live systems.
- Contributing to a strong team culture of learning, iteration, and accountability.
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related technical field.
- 4-6 years of experience in machine learning: internships, research, personal projects, Kaggle competitions, or previous jobs.
- Strong Python skills (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn).
- Solid understanding of ML fundamentals: classification, regression, cross-validation, and evaluation metrics.
- Familiarity with at least one ML framework (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, XGBoost).
- Effective communication skills, curiosity, and ability to work well in a team.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Exposure to deep learning techniques in NLP, vision, or recommender systems.
- Experience with large datasets using Spark, Hive, or cloud tools.
- Familiarity with model deployment and monitoring workflows (e.g., Airflow, MLflow).
- Interest in solving operational challenges like logistics, fraud detection, or customer retention.
- GitHub profile or project portfolio showcasing your work.
