Job Description

• Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of automation systems, control panels, PLCs, DCS, SCADA, and instrumentation devices.
• Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and technicians to ensure smooth execution of work as per approved schedules and drawings.
• Review and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings, P&IDs, loop diagrams, and cable schedules.
• Ensure proper calibration and configuration of field instruments such as transmitters, control valves, switches, and sensors.
• Oversee wiring, termination, and connection of control and instrumentation systems.
• Monitor the progress of automation works and prepare daily/weekly progress reports.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, safe work procedures, and quality standards.
• Assist in troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning of automation and control systems.
• Verify the installation and integration of automation systems with other disciplines.
• Supervise and train technicians and foremen to maintain high work quality and efficiency.
• Support the preparation of material take-offs, job estimates, and as-built documentation.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in E&I and automation works, preferably in Oil & Gas / Industrial / EPC projects.
• Hands-on experience with PLC/DCS systems (Siemens, ABB, Schneider, or Yokogawa preferred).
• Strong knowledge of field instrumentation, control loops, and communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet).
• Familiarity with international standards such as IEC, ISA, and IEEE.
• Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
