About the Role
The Electronica Engineer provides technical support for automated material handling equipment in warehouses and distribution centers. This role involves complex troubleshooting and problem-solving using a variety of technical tools. Accountabilities

  • Modify and troubleshoot systems, repairing interfaces between Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) and Material Flow Systems (MFS) to maintain efficient production flow.
  • Address operational challenges by repairing damaged components such as sensors, scanners, visualization systems, motors, frequency inverters, and encoders.
  • Identify root causes of faults and production errors, initiating permanent solutions to ensure ongoing operational continuity.
  • Collaborate with external software developers and internal teams, alongside onsite staff, to maximize system uptime.
  • Analyze daily operational reports to track and identify opportunities for continued improvement.
  • Design and conduct testing scenarios to identify system issues for enhancements.
  • Create and deliver training for all users to enhance system knowledge, resolve issues, and impede recurrence of problems.
  • Update the help-desk ticketing system to track, monitor, and resolve issues for improved efficiency.
  • Manage performance of external suppliers and subcontractors to maximize business benefits from relationships.
  • Monitor automated system machine performance and provide daily reports for management visibility.
  • Represent the organization in an international team focused on automation practices to ensure optimal system uptime and performance.
  • Collaborate with other material handling equipment engineers to ensure total synergy and reach operational full capacity.
  • Be available for system emergencies, including holidays and days off.
  • Design a system manual document for use in employee induction and on-the-job training.

  • Indoors: 80%
  • Outdoors: 20%
  • Working Days: 6 Days
  • Day Off: 1 Day
  • Working Hours: 8 Hours a day (Rotating shifts, including 1-hour break)

Job Requirements

  • 2-year degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

Education

  • 5-7 years of experience with PLC, .NET, Siemens S7 PLC, SEW motors, and drives.

Experience

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Familiar with AUTOCAD or E-Plan.

Computer Skills

  • Proficient in English and Arabic.
