What You'll Be Doing:
- Develop and implement automation solutions for BIM, IM, GIS, and engineering workflows, focusing on eliminating repetitive manual activities and improving consistency, quality, and delivery efficiency.
- Develop custom applications, scripts, plug-ins, APIs, and automation tools using technologies such as Python, C#.NET, JavaScript, and SQL aligned with project and Digital Engineering requirements.
- Create and maintain automation solutions for platforms such as Autodesk Revit, Civil 3D, Dynamo, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Rhino/Grasshopper and GIS environments, using APIs and integration frameworks where applicable.
- Identify high-value automation opportunities across engineering and project delivery processes, translating business and technical requirements into scalable digital workflows and tools.
- Support the development of AI-enabled engineering solutions, including intelligent document/data processing, engineering knowledge retrieval, workflow assistants, and integration of AI capabilities into Digital Engineering processes.
- Automate information and data management activities, including data validation, model/document metadata processing, information extraction, quality checks, and structured exchanges between engineering platforms.
- Develop GIS and spatial-data automation workflows to support data processing, validation, transformation, analysis, and integration between GIS, BIM, and other project information systems.
- Work collaboratively with BIM, Information Management, GIS, engineering, and project teams to prototype, test, deploy, document, and continuously improve automation solutions.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Digital Engineering, GIS/Geomatics, or a closely related technical discipline, together with relevant professional experience in engineering technology, AEC software development, or digital engineering automation.
- Strong programming and scripting capability, particularly in Python and/or C#.NET, with the ability to develop production-oriented automation solutions rather than only use visual scripting tools.
- Hands-on experience automating at least one major AEC or geospatial platform, such as Autodesk Revit, Civil 3D, Dynamo, AutoCAD, Rhino/Grasshopper, or an enterprise GIS platform.
- Understanding of APIs, software integration, data structures, databases, and engineering information workflows, with the ability to connect data and processes across different Digital Engineering systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand existing engineering processes, identify automation opportunities, translate user requirements into technical solutions, test outputs, troubleshoot issues, and support end users.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- Experience developing custom AEC applications, plug-ins, APIs, Dynamo packages/custom nodes, or Grasshopper components.
- Experience with GIS automation and spatial data, including Python-based geoprocessing, spatial databases, web GIS/API integration, and BIM-GIS interoperability.
- Exposure to AI/Generative AI solutions for engineering, including LLM-based applications, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, document/data extraction, and integration of AI services with engineering workflows.
- Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)/BIM 360, Revit API, AutoCAD API, SQL, Visual Studio, Git/version control, and web technologies, together with an understanding of BIM coordination and multidisciplinary engineering workflows.
