As an Automation Specialist, you will develop and implement automation solutions to optimize our design processes. This includes:
- Creating and optimizing efficient automation workflows to enhance production processes.
- Designing, developing, and implementing automation tools using Python and C# to streamline operations.
- Building scripts for computational design software like Grasshopper and Dynamo to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
- Developing custom applications for platforms such as Autodesk, Bentley, and ESRI; creating plugins to enhance functionality and user experience.
- Understanding software APIs like Revit API and Civil3D API for efficient solutions within the design environment.
- Developing intuitive dashboards for presenting analytical data and user interfaces allowing end-users to effectively utilize complex scripts.
- Leveraging AI and ML techniques to build innovative solutions that enhance design capabilities.
- Collaborating closely with the design team to understand their needs for effective automation strategies.
- Testing tools rigorously, managing software cybersecurity approvals, creating training materials, and providing ongoing support for deployed tools.
- Maintaining comprehensive documentation for all automated processes and staying updated on new technologies and software development trends.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- At least 5+ years of related work experience.
- Proven experience as an Automation Specialist or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Python, C#, or other relevant programming languages.
- Experience with computational design software, Autodesk, Bentley, and ESRI platforms required; plugin development experience is desirable.
- Familiarity with AI/ML techniques and design software like AutoCAD, Revit, Civil3D, is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
