About the Role
In this position, you will oversee the setup, configuration, operation, and maintenance of audio-visual (AV) equipment for various events and meetings. You will ensure that all AV equipment is in good working condition, manage repairs or replacements as needed, and maintain an organized inventory of equipment. Working closely with event planners and stakeholders, you'll ensure that all AV requirements are met and that the operation of AV systems runs smoothly during events.

Responsibilities
- Oversee the setup, configuration, operation, and maintenance of AV equipment, including microphones, projectors, video displays, sound systems, and video conferencing systems.
- Ensure proper functioning of all AV equipment and manage repairs or replacements as necessary.
- Manage the AV inventory, maintaining proper storage and organization.
- Collaborate with event planners to understand AV requirements for events and meetings.
- Provide on-site technical support during events, troubleshooting any issues that arise.
- Supervise and support the AV team, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Plan and coordinate the setup of AV equipment for various events and meetings.
- Ensure all AV elements align with the event’s objectives and quality standards.
- Train AV technicians on the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
- Stay updated with the latest AV technologies and train the team accordingly.
- Prepare and manage the AV department’s budget, including tracking expenses for equipment purchases and maintenance costs.
- Maintain accurate records of AV operations, equipment usage, and maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate schedules and assign tasks to ensure adequate staffing for all AV needs.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with AV service providers to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Recommend and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency and quality of AV services.
- Ensure all AV operations comply with organizational policies and relevant regulations.
- Implement safety protocols for the handling and operation of AV equipment.
- Be familiar with recreation facilities and evening programs, including show timings and concepts.
- Utilize equipment such as projection systems, visual splitters, and managing wireless microphone setups.
- Manage the sound check and stage setup for bands or singers, ensuring adherence to rider specifications.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in AV management or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Audio-Visual Technology, Information Technology, or Event Management) is preferred.

- Flexible to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required by operational needs.
- Physically fit and able to perform rescues, stand for extended periods, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
