In this role, you will be responsible for planning and executing all audio-visual needs for events, ensuring a seamless experience for both clients and guests. You will work closely with the Events team to manage the setup and operation of AV equipment, maintain systems across the resort, and advise on technical solutions to enhance service offerings.

Key Responsibilities
- Review event orders (BEOs) and plan the AV set-up, equipment, and timing with the Events team.
- Install, test, and operate sound systems, microphones, projectors, LED screens, video walls, stage lighting, and video conferencing equipment.
- Attend pre-event briefings, rehearsals, and sound checks; stay on standby during events to resolve issues immediately.
- Operate audio mixers, lighting consoles, and presentation switchers during live events.
- Support hybrid and virtual meetings by addressing streaming, camera, laptop, clicker, and connection issues for presenters.
- Maintain background music, paging, and AV systems in restaurants, bars, pool, beach, spa, and public areas.
- Dismantle, check, clean, and correctly store all equipment after each event.
- Run preventive maintenance on AV equipment and keep an up-to-date inventory, reporting losses or damage.
- Coordinate with external AV suppliers and contractors, supervising their work on property.
- Advise clients and the Events team on suitable technical solutions and support upselling of AV packages.
- Log all work orders and incidents in the maintenance system.
- Follow electrical safety, cable management, working-at-height, and the company Health & Safety standards.
- Keep up to date with new AV technology and propose improvements to equipment and processes.
Qualifications
- Diploma or technical certificate in electronics, audio-visual, sound engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years' AV experience in a 5-star hotel, convention venue, or event production company.
- Hands-on knowledge of digital mixers, wireless microphones, projection, LED screens, lighting, and video conferencing platforms.
- Good understanding of signal flow, networking basics, and AV control systems (e.g., Crestron, Extron) is an advantage.
- Good spoken and written English; Arabic or French is an advantage.
- Valid UAE driving license is an advantage.
