AVP - Social Head of ESG (Environment Social Governance)

This role will lead the development and implementation of social impact initiatives to drive positive change. This strategic role requires a dynamic leader with a passion for social responsibility, a deep understanding of social issues, and the ability to integrate social considerations into the broader corporate strategy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive social impact strategy aligned with corporate goals and ESG principles including elements of financial inclusion, affordable housing, community development, SME financing, charity, and philanthropy.
• Cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including communities, NGOs, and social impact partners, and collaborate with government agencies and industry associations to enhance the organization's social impact.
• Establish and oversee frameworks for measuring the social impact of initiatives and prepare regular reports on social performance, ensuring transparency and accuracy in ESG reporting.
• Lead initiatives to enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization and develop employee engagement programs that align with social impact goals.
• Advocate for policies that align with the organization's social impact goals and represent the organization in relevant forums and policy discussions.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in ESG, governance, social impact, corporate social responsibility, or related fields.
• Deep understanding of social issues, community development, and stakeholder engagement, along with knowledge of ESG frameworks, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to drive initiatives from conception to execution and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant academic qualifications in sustainability, business, law, or related fields, with an advanced degree preferred.
