AWS Cloud SysOps Engineer

We are looking for an AWS Cloud SysOps Engineer for our UAE operations with the following skillset. The role is primarily AWS SysOps-focused with exposure to DevOps/SRE practices such as automation, CI/CD, container platforms, and reliability engineering.

Responsibilities

• 5–7 years of hands-on experience in AWS Cloud SysOps / Cloud Infrastructure roles.
• Strong operational experience with AWS services, including: EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, EBS, ELB, CloudWatch, Route 53.
• Proven experience in AWS monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response, capacity planning, performance tuning, and cost optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
• Working knowledge of container platforms: Amazon EKS (primary) & OpenShift (secondary/exposure level).
• Experience managing containers using Docker and Podman.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash and/or Python.
• Experience supporting Linux-based systems.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in 24x7 operational environments.
• Exposure to DevOps and SRE practices, including GitLab CI/CD pipelines, GitOps-based deployments.
• Working knowledge of security and compliance frameworks: CIS benchmarks, NIST, ISO 27001.
• Experience supporting production systems in high-availability environments.
• Preferably candidates having experience in the BFSI domain.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• AWS Certified SysOps Administrator (preferred).
• AWS DevOps Engineer or Solutions Architect (plus).
