We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Data Architect to design and implement enterprise-grade data solutions on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Databricks, Synapse Analytics, and Tableau. This role is critical in defining the data strategy, architecture, and roadmap to enable scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions for our business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement end-to-end data architecture using Azure data services.
- Define data models, metadata, lineage, and governance frameworks.
- Architect and orchestrate ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
- Define and implement data lakehouse architecture using ADLS, Databricks, and Delta Lake.
- Design data warehouse solutions using Azure Synapse Analytics, ensuring optimal partitioning, indexing, and performance tuning.
- Integrate multiple source systems (structured/unstructured/cloud/on-prem) into a centralized data platform.
- Implement security measures, data masking, encryption, and role-based access controls.
- Collaborate with BI developers and analysts to define Tableau and Power BI dashboards and data models.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to data engineers and other team members.
- Conduct architecture reviews and maintain documentation of design patterns and decisions.
- Ensure best practices for data engineering, security, and governance are followed.
- Translate complex SQL queries and business logic into Databricks' Spark-based environment.
- Design and implement cluster configurations and resource management strategies for optimal performance in Databricks.
- Conduct performance benchmarking and tuning of workloads post-migration.
- Experience with data quality validation frameworks and knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for data platforms is a plus.
