Azure FinOps & Cloud Cost Analyst

About the Job:

The company is seeking an Azure FinOps & Cloud Cost Analyst. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing Azure billing, cost visibility, budget forecasting, and optimization strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Azure Billing and Cost Visibility:

   • Monitor Azure consumption, charges, and spending trends.
   • Reconcile invoices against Cost Management data.
   • Maintain accurate monthly cost reporting.

2. Optimization and Savings Realization:

   • Identify opportunities for cost optimization and maintain an optimization pipeline.
   • Work with various stakeholders to validate and implement optimization strategies.

3. Forecasting, Governance, and Reporting:

   • Produce monthly forecasts for Azure spending and consumption.
   • Prepare dashboards covering actuals, forecasts, and key financial metrics.

4. Routine IT Budget Support:

   • Provide cost inputs to the IT budget owner and support budget updates.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in cloud cost management or a similar role.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Cost Management + Billing.
• Strong analytical and Excel skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• FinOps Certified Practitioner (FOCP) or Microsoft Azure Fundamentals certification.
• Experience with cloud billing structures and cost optimization strategies.
