Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage Azure networking components including VNets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, Application Gateway, and ExpressRoute/VPN Gateways.
- Lead network security architecture initiatives aligned with zero-trust security models and enterprise security best practices.
- Configure and manage Azure security services such as Defender for Cloud, Azure Sentinel (SIEM), Key Vault, and Security Center.
- Monitor network performance and traffic to identify, mitigate, and prevent potential security threats.
- Troubleshoot complex network performance, connectivity, and security incidents in hybrid (cloud + on-premises) environments.
- Collaborate with Cloud Architects, Security teams, and DevOps engineers to embed network security within infrastructure-as-code deployments (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates).
- Perform vulnerability assessments, support security audits, and ensure compliance with frameworks such as ISO27001, NIST, or CIS Benchmarks.
- Maintain up-to-date network diagrams, documentation, and operational runbooks.
- Provide Level 3 (L3) support for critical network and security incidents, ensuring service continuity.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in network engineering and cloud security, including 3+ years working with Microsoft Azure.
- Strong expertise in Azure Networking: VNet Peering, UDRs, NSGs, Load Balancers (Standard/Private), ExpressRoute, VPN Gateways, and Private Endpoints.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Security Services: Azure Firewall, Defender for Cloud, Key Vault, Sentinel, Application Gateway WAF, and Conditional Access.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Routing & Switching, SD-WAN, and network troubleshooting tools.
- Knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and integration with Azure AD / Entra ID.
- Familiarity with cloud governance and security compliance frameworks (ISO27001, NIST, CIS Benchmarks).
- Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python) for network and security automation is a plus.
- Relevant Microsoft Certifications preferred: AZ-700, AZ-500, SC-200, SC-300.
