About the role
The B1 Technician is responsible for supporting the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and servicing of aircraft mechanical systems, including airframes, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and associated components, in accordance with approved maintenance data and regulatory requirements. Working under the supervision of licensed engineers and senior technicians, the role involves assisting with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities, defect rectification, component replacements, and operational testing to ensure aircraft safety, airworthiness, and reliability. This position provides an opportunity to develop practical maintenance skills and gain experience across a range of aircraft systems within a professional maintenance environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures maintenance is performed to the highest level in accordance with relevant technical data and in that respect keeps updated on general technical information.
  • Be proactively involved in all safety and health matters.
  • Understand and follow procedures as required by the current maintenance data (Aircraft Maintenance Manual, Engineering instructions, etc.), and company procedures.
  • Display a professional attitude and ability to communicate clearly and effectively providing feedback for any issues encountered.
  • Maintain a FOD clear working area by supporting housekeeping and maintaining cleanliness before, during, and after work completion.
  • Meet targets and deadlines as set by the Check Manager.
  • Ensure all aircraft documentation is completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure any tooling or equipment used is duly cleaned and returned in serviceable condition or clearly labelled if defective.
  • Demonstrate required knowledge of the Safety Management System and Quality procedures at all times, as well as GCAA/EASA/FAA Part-145 requirements.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in English language in both verbal and written forms.
  • High School Diploma/Certificate.
  • Completed Apprenticeship at a GCAA/EASA Part-145 or equivalent maintenance organization with GCAA or EASA License OR Diploma from GCAA/EASA 147 OR Equivalent training school with GCAA or EASA License.
  • 3 years of experience in aircraft maintenance including hands-on experience working in the relevant trade.
