About the Role
The Avionics B2 Technician is responsible for supporting the inspection, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and testing of aircraft electrical and avionics systems in accordance with approved maintenance data, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Working under the guidance of licensed engineers and senior technicians, the role involves assisting with aircraft modifications, defect rectification, functional testing, and ensuring all maintenance activities are completed accurately, safely, and within scheduled timelines. This position offers an opportunity to develop technical expertise in avionics systems while contributing to aircraft airworthiness and operational reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure maintenance is performed at the highest level in accordance with relevant technical/maintenance data.
  • Ensure maximum attention is given to on time performance, by assuring that all materials, tooling and equipment along with associated documentation is prepared in advance to the task in hand.
  • Inform and consult with licensed aircraft engineer as required to enable licensed aircraft engineer to maintain a complete overview of Aircraft.
  • Maintain a FOD free working area and clean up bay area before and after work.
  • Develop one self and increase Aircraft knowledge with ultimate goal for further career development.
  • Accept appropriate training that will enable a more effective contribution.
  • Proactively participate in all Health and Safety matters.
  • Ensure that all unused serviceable and unserviceable items are returned to stores with the correct label attached.
  • Ensure any tooling or equipment used is duly cleaned and returned in serviceable condition, or clearly labeled if defective.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
  • Support quality audits and ensure compliance with Maintenance Organization Exposition (MOE) and Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Report defects, incidents, and non-conformities through proper channels.

Qualifications

  • High School Leaving Certificate / or Diploma.
  • Served an apprenticeship with an airline/ approved organization, or have received an equivalent formal training.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in Aircraft maintenance including hands-on experience working in relevant trade.
