The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Engineer to join our team on a 12-month contract based in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will design, create, and implement various C++ based solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain high-volume, low-latency C++ applications
- Interpret briefs to create high-quality code that meets specifications
- Collaborate with the team to determine application functions and build objectives
- Ensure that written code aligns with project objectives
- Handle external and embedded databases such as Mongo, MySQL, PostgreSQL
- Work with Kafka and Elastic Search
- Create database schemas to support business processes
- Implement automated testing platforms and unit tests
- Utilize code versioning tools, e.g., Git
- Understand basic design principles for scalable applications
- Develop microservice design and architectural patterns
- Employ design patterns for distributed systems
- Maintain Docker/Container clusters
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related fields
- At least 5 years of programming experience, specifically in C++
- Significant coding skills in C++, with knowledge of other languages being advantageous
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Familiarity with current frameworks, SDKs, APIs, and libraries
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
