We are looking for a talented Backend Engineer based in Dubai, UAE, to join our R&D team. This is a hybrid position. As part of the team, you will participate in designing and building our next-generation cloud-based solutions. You will face challenges of performance, scalability, and availability in multi-cloud environments using the newest services and tools. This unique R&D position gives you responsibility for everything in the system and the development cycle.

Responsibilities:
- Work in a Scrum environment
- Collaborate with an extremely agile team in dynamic settings
- Participate in service development and cloud-based environments within R&D
- Engage in infrastructure and system design
- Utilize the latest technology to manage our high-performance, high-scale infrastructure on AWS and Google Cloud resources, employing third-party modern development tools, including Golang, Kubernetes, and Elasticsearch
- Ensure proper security, monitoring, alerting, and reporting for our backend services
- Work closely with our product team
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience with at least 2 different server-side programming languages (experience with GoLang is an advantage)
- Significant experience creating and utilizing RESTful APIs and scalable performance systems
- Experience in a SaaS company
- Familiarity with infrastructure tools, such as Kubernetes and Elasticsearch (preferred)
- Experience with DevOps practices and technologies such as Terraform and Helm Chart (preferred)
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases like MongoDB and Elastic (preferred)
- Deep understanding of cloud architecture and modern system design principles (preferably AWS or GCP)
- Ability to take responsibility and work independently, with a "can do" attitude and strong interpersonal and communication skills
