The Opportunity:
Presight is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Java Backend Engineer with a strong background in microservices architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant microservices.
- Ensure system scalability, observability, and failover mechanisms.
- Write clean, testable code and perform regular code reviews.
- Implement microservices design patterns for distributed systems.
- Collaborate with DevOps engineers to containerize applications using Docker and deploy via Kubernetes.
- Design and secure microservices, container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensure quality through testing, code reviews, and monitoring of backend services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related fields.
- At least 5 years of programming experience.
Experience:
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience with a focus on programming, automation, and system integration.
- Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and RESTful APIs.
- Additional programming language experience (e.g., Python) is a plus.
- Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch).
- Experience with message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ, event sourcing, and stream processing.
