We are seeking a talented Backend Engineer to join our R&D team, based in Dubai, UAE. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to design and build our next-generation cloud-based solutions. You will face challenges related to performance, scalability, and availability in multi-cloud environments using the latest services and tools. This unique R&D role gives you ownership of system design and the development cycle. If you thrive in dynamic environments and possess strong programming skills with a solid understanding of technologies and infrastructure, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Work in a scrum environment
- Collaborate with an agile team in dynamic settings
- Contribute to service development and cloud-based environments
- Engage in infrastructure and system design
- Utilize cutting-edge technology to manage high-performance, high-scale infrastructure on AWS and Google Cloud
- Ensure security, monitoring, alerting, and reporting for backend services
- Collaborate closely with our product team
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with at least 2 different server-side programming languages (GoLang preferred)
- Significant experience in creating and utilizing RESTful APIs and scalable performance systems
- Experience working in a SaaS company
- Familiarity with infrastructure tools such as Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and Logstash is a plus
- Experience with DevOps practices and technologies, including Terraform and Helm Chart, is advantageous
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases like MongoDB and Elastic is a plus
- Deep understanding of cloud architecture and modern system design principles (preferably AWS or GCP)
- Ability to take responsibility and work independently with a proactive attitude and excellent communication skills
