We are seeking Backend Engineers who will play a crucial role in developing cutting-edge platforms that facilitate seamless and scalable transactions. You will leverage your expertise in payment, shopping, and banking systems to design, develop, and optimize our secure and robust software infrastructure, creating unique experiences for Tamara's users.
As a Backend Engineer, you will manage cross-functional teams and collaborate with engineers, designers, analysts, product experts, and other team members to innovate technical solutions that address complex problems in the financial technology landscape.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems across Tamara’s engineering teams.
- Debug production issues across different services and levels of the stack.
- Collaborate with business, product, and operations teams to understand and address user pain points.
Your Expertise:
- 3+ years of software development experience.
- Strong background in building scalable products and services.
- Good understanding of SOLID principles and Design Patterns.
- Familiarity with AWS, OCI, Kubernetes/Docker.
- Experience with distributed systems and messaging tools (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Vue.js, HTML, and CSS is a plus.
- Proactive, goal-oriented, and self-structured.
- Experience working as a developer in a startup environment is a plus.
- Team player, creative thinker, and eager to explore new technologies.
- Good written and spoken communication skills in English.
