As a Backend Engineer II at Tamara, you will play a crucial role in developing cutting-edge platforms that facilitate seamless and scalable transactions. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing our secure software infrastructure, creating unique experiences that only Tamara can provide. You will collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, designers, analysts, and product experts to address complex problems and enhance user experience in shopping, payments, and banking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems across Tamara’s engineering teams.
- Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
- Collaborate with business, product, and operations teams to understand and solve users’ pain points.
Your Expertise:
- 4+ years of software development experience.
- Strong experience in building scalable products and services.
- Good understanding of SOLID principles and Design Patterns.
- Knowledge of AWS, OCI, Kubernetes/Docker.
- Experience with distributed systems and messaging tools like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of JavaScript, Vue.js, HTML, and CSS is a plus.
- Proactive, goal-oriented, and self-structured approach.
- Experience in a startup environment is a plus.
- Strong team player, creative thinker, and passionate about exploring new technologies.
- Good written and spoken communication skills in English.
