About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and driven Backend Developer to join our team. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable backend systems that power our applications. This includes building secure APIs, managing real-time communication via WebSockets, and ensuring seamless interaction with databases and other system components.
The ideal candidate is passionate about backend architecture, system performance, and writing clean, maintainable code. You will collaborate closely with other developers and teams to continuously enhance the performance, security, and reliability of our backend infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain APIs and sockets on our existing systems.
- Extend our existing backends with new scalable and secure features in the form of APIs and socket topics.
- Implement security measures into the backend effectively.
- Ensure all backend features perform well and are written in a high-quality manner.
- Identify any bugs, security vulnerabilities, or bottlenecks in the backend systems.
- Collaborate with teams to implement new features.
- Write high-quality code while following best practices.
- Maintain and improve communication with databases and other software components via WebSockets.
- Extend database architecture efficiently when needed.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for software development.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 2 years experience as a Backend Developer or in a similar role.
- Strong expertise in backend languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, and Java; Python is a plus.
- Experience with Node.js, NestJs, ExpressJs, TypeOrm, Spring Boot (Java), or Django (Python).
- Proficiency in database management systems like MongoDB, Redis Cache; knowledge of relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL is appreciated.
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
- Expertise with REST APIs and WebSockets (Socket.IO); experience with WebRTC is appreciated.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Medium knowledge of Docker and Docker Compose is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience with robot-to-web communication is a plus.
