ByteDance is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to join the Lark Procurement team in Dubai. Lark is a next-generation team productivity suite designed to enhance organizational efficiency, creativity, and engagement. As part of the procurement R&D team, you will be responsible for supporting ByteDance Group's procurement services across various business sectors. Responsibilities
- Write and test product or system development code.
- Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve them by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt it based on product/program updates and user feedback.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages and with data structures/algorithms.
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- Strong curiosity to learn new things and willingness to explore outside of the comfort zone.
- Working proficiency and communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in world-class procurement system development.
- Experience in integrating ML solutions within products and measuring their effectiveness.
- 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
