Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Vendor certifications in one or more of the following are mandatory:
- NetBackup / NetWorker / Backup Exec
- Avamar / Data Domain / NetBackup Appliance
- Enterprise Vault / SourceOne
- Additional certifications from Dell EMC, HP, Veeam, Cisco, Microsoft are an advantage.
Required Technical Skill Set:
The candidate must be able to design, install, configure, troubleshoot, and administer backup and archival solutions based on the technologies listed above. Hands-on experience in enterprise environments is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Sales Responsibilities:
- Assist account managers in requirement gathering and technical discovery.
- Develop solution designs, prepare technical proposals, and participate in competitive positioning.
- Lead product demos, proofs of concept (POCs), solution sizing, and pricing discussions.
Post-Sales Responsibilities:
- Prepare High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), and implementation plans.
- Validate prerequisites, perform installations, configurations, and solution deployment.
- Provide troubleshooting support and resolve customer technical issues.
- Deliver clear technical documentation and progress reports.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Multiple years of hands-on experience delivering IT infrastructure and data protection projects.
- Proven experience in customer-facing Professional Services or consulting roles.
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
- Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for various audiences.
- Able to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- High level of energy, proactive attitude, and strong work ethic.
- Ability to manage workload with minimal supervision.
- Prior experience working in the Gulf region is an advantage.
- Valid driving license preferred.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken).
