Job Role:
- 6+ years of technical IT experience.
- 5+ years supporting Server, Storage, and Backup systems.
- 3 years of experience as a Backup & Storage Administrator in a large organization.
- 3 years of Storage Administration experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving related to File Storage, NAS Protocols, and NAS Connectivity issues within an enterprise infrastructure.
- At least 3 years of experience in configuring, installing, and managing solutions for Storage infrastructure with EMC & HP.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
- Ability to design, configure, manage, and monitor a data backup environment, including off-site disaster recovery, tape libraries, and file recovery utilizing multiple vendor solutions.
- Experience with Windows, Unix, and AIX platforms.
- Experienced in solutions like TSM, Veeam, data domain, and tape libraries.
- Must have excellent experience in supporting and troubleshooting backup, recovery, and archiving in a large, complex, and distributed environment.
- Extensive experience in supporting, troubleshooting, and administering enterprise storage (NAS & SAN), including SAN switches.
- Understanding of compliance requirements of a bank’s IT department, with preference given to experience in PCI DSS and NESA compliance.
- Experience handling support cases in a high-pressure SLA-bound environment.
- ITIL process experience in organizations with more than 500 staff is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a logical approach to problem-solving.
- Good understanding of technical architecture and ability to discuss related matters with the team.
- Exposure and experience in Unix, AIX, and Windows platforms.
Education:
- Degree in Engineering, preferably in Information Technology or Information Systems specialization.
- Microsoft Server and other Server, Storage, or Backup certifications.
Other Qualifications (Desirable):
- TSM/Comvault certified.
- Veeam certification.
- ITIL certification.
- MCSE.
- Any other industry certifications/application vendor certifications.
