Backup/Archive/Storage Specialist

As a Backup/Archive/Storage Specialist at DXC Technology, you will manage and maintain data storage systems, ensuring data availability, integrity, and security. Your responsibilities will include:

• A strong understanding of Dell PowerMax, Dell PowerScale & Cisco SAN Switches technologies (SAN, NAS, cloud storage), operating systems, networking concepts, and backup solutions.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise backup solutions like Dell EMC Networker, Veeam Backup and Replication, and Commvault.
• Installing and implementing storage systems and hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) from vendors such as Dell, IBM, and HPE.
• Deploying and configuring virtualization environments.
• Administering, monitoring, and maintaining enterprise backup systems.
• Collaborating with IT teams to streamline data storage and retrieval.
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including Low-Level Design (LLD) and As-Built documentation.
• Supporting day-to-day data center operations, including equipment racking, cabling, and hardware maintenance.
• Ensuring backup solution Disaster Readiness and functionality in disaster recovery situations.
• Working with application stakeholders to define backup policies, recovery objectives, and schedules.
• Applying technology best practices and adhering to service and operation level agreements (SLA/OLA).

You will be working in a full-time hybrid role based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Mandatory Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Typically, 5+ years of relevant work experience in the industry, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
• Proven experience in infrastructure technology analysis.
• Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving.
• A continuous learner who stays updated with industry knowledge and technology.
